Gloria J. Page, born July 15, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Soso, Mississippi by her parents, the late Thomas Benjamin Dent and Luelma Dent. She made her transition on May 6, 2015, at home surrounded by family.
She was joined in holy matrimony with Vernon "Jack" Page on June, 4, 1954. To this union five sons were born.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thomas Dent, Jr. and Larry Dent; one sister, Gwendolyn Winters; and one son, Dexter Page.
Gloria leaves to celebrate her home-going; husband, Vernon "Jack" Page; four children, Edward Erskine Page of Joliet, IL, Stanley Page of Woodridge, IL, Stacy (Sheila) Page of Joliet, IL, and Steve (Terica) Page of Joliet, IL; one brother, Herman Dent of Joliet, IL; two sisters, Claudette Dent of Joliet, IL, and Loretta Dent (L.C. Taylor) of Calumet Park, IL; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at St. John M.B. Church, 104 E. Zarley Blvd., Joliet, IL, Rev. Herbert Brooks, Jr., pastor. Service at 12:00 Noon, Pastor Elijah Wilson, officiating. Interment following at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
