She was born in Washington, Indiana on January 2, 1926, the daughter of Louis F. and Veronica (Joice) Rubrecht. She was a child during the Great Depression and for a brief time was at St. Vincent De Paul Orphanage, Vincennes, IN. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She graduated from St. Rose Academy in 1944. She married Lowell A. Ramsey on November 20, 1947. She worked at: George Field, Civil Service job at Wright Field, Dayton, OH, during WWII (now named Wright-Patterson Air Force Base), telephone operator at the telephone office, Smith’s Drug Store, Vincennes License Branch, and switchboard operator at Executive Inn. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association and volunteered at Willow Manor (Willow Street location in Vincennes, IN) to help the residents play bingo. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, quilting (cathedral window, crazy quilts, blue jean comforters), many craft/sewing projects, playing board games and cards. Most of all she enjoyed her family and family get-togethers.
Surviving are her children, Michelle Reagan and her husband, Mark, Becky Ramsey and Andy Ramsey. Her sisters, Susie Berberich and her husband, Ron, and Pat Pieroway and her husband, Chet. Grandchildren, Trevor Levoie, Gina Griffiths, her husband Shannon, Brian Mariano, Nichole Tullis and her husband, Cameron, Brandon Budde and his partner Katie Diltz, Ann Collins and her husband Matt, and Sarah Ramsey. Great Grandchildren, Kaleb Budde, Dylan Griffiths, Mason Griffiths, Evan Griffiths, Kaitlyn Schneider, Hannah Schneider, Mattilyn Collins, Cooper Collins, Christa Tullis and Mylo Budde; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lowell A. Ramsey, her sons Charles E. Ramsey and Gregory A. Ramsey; her brothers Louis J. Rubrecht, Ralph Rubrecht, Bernard Rubrecht, Paul Joseph Rubrecht, and her sister Elizabeth Schultz.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN or St. Francis Xavier Parish, Vincennes, IN.
The date of interment and graveside service is yet to be determined.
