JACOB BOAZ OF UNION TOWNSHIP DIES WEDNESDAY
Jacob Milton Boaz, 81 year old lifelong resident of the Union Township area, died Wednesday at the Johnson County Memorial Hospital after being critically ill for four months.
Mr. Boaz, a farmer, had resided at Morgantown route one.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home in Franklin, Rev. Earl Seitz will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. on Friday. A masonic service will also be held there at 8:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Mr. Boaz was born April 3, 1893, in Union Township, the son of William and Katherine (Dresslar) Boaz. He was educated in Union Township schools and married the former Tressie Henderson on Dec. 29, 1915 at Franklin.
The wife survives along with a daughter, Mrs. Gail Catherine Bridges of Bargersville, one grandchild; one great-grandchild; a brother, Howard Boaz of Bargersville; and a sister , Edna Boaz of Bargersville.
Mr. Boaz was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
He was a member of Union Village Masonic Lodge and Providence, Christian Church.
