Mayetta Department. John Huff, who was taken to the hospital last week and operated on for appendicitis died, and the remains taken to Holton and buried in the Holton cemetery. Mr. Huff was well known around here, although he has worked for Sid Lindsey off and on for about ten years. We learn that his folks live in Virginia, and that he left home when he was quite a small boy - as thousands of other boys have done - to see the world and make his own living. That is what he told on his death bed. His age was about 33 years ....
John Howard Huff ... died at St. Francis hospital on Monday night, August 21st .... was the son of Thomas Gilbert and Lucy Huff of Sugar Grove, Va. .... He leaves his father, mother, three brothers and four sisters .... Burial was made in the Holton cemetery.
