Eleanor Marie Lowery, 69, Grand Mound, died Thursday morning, December 9, 2010 in her home.

On October 17, 1941, she was born to Elmer L. and Viola S. (Mohr) Anderson. Ellie retired from Alcoa after working there for twenty years. She also had worked at Caterpillar, Mississippi Engineering, Central High School and Curves.

Most of Ellie's time was spent with her grandchildren, but she also enjoyed watching Day's of Our Lives and an occasional trip to the Casino.

Survivors include a son, Kenny Lowery, Jr., DeWitt; a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Rhonda Lowery who cared for Ellie in their Grand Mound home; a daughter, Kim Lowery, Birmingham, Iowa; grandchildren, Kari, Kelli, Sheila, Emily and Nicole; great-granddaughter, Mikaylie; brothers, Gerald (Sandy) Anderson, Freeport, Illinois, Ray (Carol) Anderson, Johnson Creek, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law, Diane Anderson, Wheatland.

Ellie was preceded in death by her parents, brother, LaVerne Anderson and two nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 13, 2010 in the Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Arthur Rickman officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Mound.

Pallbearers will be Kariann Overstake, Toby, Chris, David, Lyle, Cliford, Craig, Aaron and Terry Anderson.
