Alta M. Rohrer, 84, of Fairmount Homes, formerly of Smoketown, died May 8, 2015 at her residence. Born in Broadway, VA, she was the daughter of the late Luke and Lydia Kauffman Showalter. She was the wife of the late Luke W. Rohrer who died in 1987. She was a homemaker and a member of Stumptown Mennonite Church. She taught Sunday School and enjoyed participating in the Sewing Circle at the church.
She is survived by three sons, Wayne A. husband of Naomi M. Rohrer of Harrisburg, PA, Russell W. husband of Elizabeth E. Rohrer of Harrisonburg, VA, Norvel G. husband of Eva G. Rohrer of North Richland Hills, TX; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
The funeral will be held on Monday evening, May 11, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Fairmount Homes Retirement Community Chapel, 333 Wheat Ridge Dr., Ephrata, PA. Friends may call 5-7:00 PM on Monday at Fairmount Homes Chapel. Interment will be private.
