Hazel O'Bannon Hazel O'Bannon, age 91, loving wife, mother, and grand mother died in Georgetown at Wesleyan Nursing Home on Sunday, January 14, 2007. She was born Hazel Copeland, in Terry County, Texas to William H. and Pearl B. Copeland on November 18, 1915. She grew up and completed school in Ropesville, Texas. She graduated from Texas Tech University in 1937 with a Major in English. Hazel taught in Texas Public Schools for 36 years, 28 years in Plainview, Texas. In April 1941 Hazel married L.C. O'Bannon in Lubbock, Texas. She is survived by her husband, L.C. O' Bannon; daughters, Sue Hooper and husband Larry and Patsy Carroll and husband Jimmie; and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 19, 2007 at the First Baptist Church located at 1333 West University, Georgetown, Texas. Interment will follow at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
