Marcus "Maurice" Kennedy, 35, died at 2:55 PM Friday, March 5, 1999, in Westfield, IN. Born May 5, 1963, at Cleveland, TN, he had lived most of his life in Lafayette. In 1982, he graduated from McCutcheon High School, where he played basketball and ran track. Mr. Kennedy was a member of Church of God in Christ, and he enjoyed weightlifting.

Surviving are his fiancee, Ceciley Brown of Lafayette; two daughters, Mauricia Jean Kennedy and Kaylyn Sheree Kennedy, both of Lafayette; his parents, James and Barbara Kennedy of Lafayette; two brothers, James Kennedy, Jr. and Mark Kennedy, both of Lafayette; and three sisters, Aquana Fox, Angie (Mrs. Mark) Thompson, both of Lafayette, and Kim Pugh of Cleveland, TN.
