"Bass" McKinney passed away at the age of 96. A native of Kentucky, Bass was raised and lived in Antioch for 90 years, having graduated from Riverview High School.
Bass was a master electrician owning McKinney Electric Co. for over 40 years. Besides his family, his true love in life was flying. Involved in flying from the early 1920's, Bass flew out of the Antioch Airport since 1947 and was still flying at 81 years old. After retirement, he managed the Antioch Airport until it closed in 1990.
Missed by many, Bass is survived by his grandsons, Davey Lee Brown of Antioch and Richard J. Brown of Reno.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside memorial service on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 2:00pm at Union Cemetery, Hwy.4, Brentwood.
