Patricia graduated from St. Stephen High School in Indian Creek, MO, and spent the majority of her life raising her own seven children, along with 33 foster children. She was the owner and operator of the Indian Creek ("Swinkey") Store and was instrumental in starting the Monroe City Sheltered Workshop, where she served as manager for many years. She also worked at and retired from Diemakers, Inc.
