Charles E. Gohn, 82, of Springettsbury Township, died at 3:55 a.m. Sunday at his home. He was the husband of Edna E. (Baublitz) Gohn.

The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 902 Mount Rose Ave., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Viewing will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Gohn was born in Chanceford Township, on Aug. 25, 1911. He was the son of the late Edgar and Permilla (Lightner) Gohn.

He was employed 41 years in the laboratory of the Schmidt and Ault Paper Co.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he belonged to Fourth United Methodist Church and International Brotherhood of Paper Workers Local Union 808.

Mr. Gohn also is survived by a daughter, Carol Ford of Chesapeake, Va.; a stepdaughter, Grace Heilig of York; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a brother, William Gohn of York.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. J.R. McWilliams, pastor of Second Church of the Brethren.
