Peter Carlos Cornia was born at Bountiful, Davis County, Utah on August 16, 1859. He was the eldest son and second child of Peter and Ruth Clarissa Carter Cornia.

When he was about four years old, his family was called by the church authorities ot help settle Kamas, Summit County, Utah. They had been there about three years and received another call to go to the Muddy Mission at West Point, which was then thought to be in Utah. Again they established a home and helped in the building of the settlement, but when Nevade demanded taxes, the saints in the settlement had no money to meet them, and most of the people were sick from severe heat and poor water. They were released and told to go wherever they wanted to. They came back to Bountiful. From here they were sent to the new settlement of Woodruff, Utah to help build it up, and they arrived here July 26, 1871.

On the first of April 1880 Peter married Jannette Ines Stewart, daughter of John and Isabel Henry Stewart. They had one daughter, Jeannette Cornia, born September 19, 1882 in Woodruff. She married Dave Neilson and had one daughter, Jannett. They were divorced and she married Daniel Winter and had two daughters, Ruth and Marjorie.

On April 3, 1884, he married Lucy Helen Dickson. They had three children, Peter Carlos, born March 8, 1886, and he married Mary Ann Longhurst; Lucy Helen, born December 16, 1888, she married Mr. Wilford W. Bryson. they divorced and she married Daniel Ryan; Milton born April 3, 1892, he married Clara Marintha Longhurst. Lucy died on June 7, 1893.
On April 8, 1896, he married Sarah Hannah Reed, daughter of Wm. T. and Sarah Jones Reed in the Salt Lake Temple. This couple was active in church and civic affairs, giving a helping hand whenever it was needed. On the fourth of Novemeber 18976, Peter was called on a mission to the New England States and Virginia. While there he helped organize the first LDS Sunday School in Providence, Rhode Island. He was then called to be the superintendant on Spet. 25, 1898. He had held many positions before his mission call.

Peter and Sarah had four children, Edwin Reed, born February 16, 1897, married Ellen Berry June 27, 1835. They have one daughter Betty Ellen. Louis Doyle, born November 19 1900; Ruth, born January 23, 1906; and Reed, born July 7, 1908. He married Edna Longhurst June 23, 1937.

Peter passed away April 23, 1840. Both he and his wife Sarah were buried in the Woodruff Cemetery.
