Atlanta - Services for Lucy Dickerson Irick will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 1999 at Northside United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Arlington Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Egleston Children's' Hospital and Northside United Methodist Church. H.M. Patterson and Son, Historic Spring Hill Chapel is in charge. Mrs. Irick died Wednesday, August 25, 1999 along with her son, Thomas Wilbur Irick III. She was a member of Northside United Methodist Church where she was a participant in the Disciple Bible Study and active in United Methodist Women, Circle #2. She was involved in numerous community organizations and held leadership positions in the junior League of Atlanta and at Egleston Children's' Hospital. Born in Charlotte, Lucy was a 1973 graduate of Columbia College in Columbia, and later received a M.Ed. degree from the University of South Carolina. She taught visually handicapped children in Charleston, Charlotte, and Fairfax County, Va. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
