OBITUARY :
MARY HELEN (SUVAK) MICHAELS went home to be with the Lord May 5, 2015. She joined her loving husband, Sam and many family members and friends.
She is survived by her son, Mark and his wife, Lil, her daughter, Susan and her husband Ken, and 5 cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Brett, Devon, Emily and Sam and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed but all who knew her are blessed and celebrate the time spent with her. Mom, grandma, Aunt Mary, Mar, friend to all lived her life with kindness and serving others.
She tirelessly volunteered to the end delivering Meals on Wheels and serving at the Senior Friendship Centers in Waynesboro and Sarasota. She also volunteered at the Jefferson Center where she lived in Florida. Until the very end she blessed all who met her with her memorable smile.
Even after her move to Florida, she reminded everyone who met her that her heart remained in Pennsylvania.
We thank all who prayed for her and wrote to her. We also thank the wonderful caregivers at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in cardiac and orthopedics; also for the compassionate care at Hawthorne Rehabilitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M., Friday, May 15, 2015 in St. Andrew Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Rev. Augusty Valomchalil, M.S.S.C.C. officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until 11:20 A.M., Friday morning, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
In lieu of flowers, we respectfully request donations of time or money to your favorite projects; or Meals on Wheels 43 W. Washington Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201; or the Waynesboro Senior Center, 30 West North Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
