Keith was born June 6, 1937 in Provo, Utah to Vilo & Melvin Barrett. Keith graduated Provo High and then attended BYU. Keith worked as a loan manager. He met and married Dianne Dryden of Jerome, Idaho January 16 1964 and were married 51 years. To that marriage, two girls were born. Keith's employer Avco transferred them to San Jose, California where they resided for six years before moving north to Placerville, Ca for the next fourteen years where he opened his own business, El Dorado Pacific Homes and was a land developer. With the thought of retiring and to be near family they purchased land and moved to Idaho. Keith being the restless person he was he started land and commercial property developing again. After that he decided to build and open his own storage company- High Desert Storage.
Keith enjoyed many outdoor hobbies including riding his ATV, hunting, and snorkeling. He loved to go fishing, camping, and boating with his family. He always looked forward to taking his grandkids on many adventures especially fishing. Over the years Keith and his wife enjoyed taking many vacations.
Keith is survived by his wife Dianne, and two children Laurie (Darrel) Ward of Arbon and Andrea Shelter of Twin Falls, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild, and his only sibling, a sister Shirley (Clayton) Ritchie of Salt Lake City. He is preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter.
