Judy L. Carmack Cole, 69, of Liberty, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at Sycamore Springs Rehab Center in Liberty.

Judy was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on December 19, 1945, to Abe and Etta Hurst Carmack and lived most of her life in Union County. In her primary school years she attended Billingsville School and then graduated from College Corner High School in 1963. Judy married Gerald Cole on May 3, 1985.In addition to being employed as office manager at Liberty Mills from 1962 to 1994; Judy worked as an Amish Taxi Driver, at Brewbaker Grain and Chemical, and in Amway. Judy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Laurel and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Judy is survived by her son: James Loudermilk and his wife Jami of Hamilton; a brother: George Carmack and his wife Beverly of Liberty; a brother-in-law: Carl Sharp Sr. of Liberty; a sister-in-law: Peggy Carmack of Liberty; two grandchildren: Blake and Siera; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Donald Hertel. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who died May 4, 2004; three brothers: Allen, Robert, and Archie Carmack; and a sister Ethel Sharp.

Funeral service will conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11th, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, in Liberty, with Rev. David Jordan of the Laurel First Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in College Corner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. Monday until time of service where memorial contributions may be made to the Ethel Sharp Scholarship Fund at the Union County Foundation.
