He was born April 18, 1929 in Orderville to Leigh and Blanche Bowers.
He married Mary Lou Waggoner on March 6, 1953. They had four children: Donna, Gerry (Sunetha), Kellie (Hyrum), and Penny (Scott).
He was a kind, generous man who had an incredible memory, telling stories one after another. He loved sharing the produce from his garden with everyone.
He is survived by his children, thirteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
