Margie Ferguson, resident of Fairfax, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012, at the Fairfax Hospital.


Margie Deloris Rameriz, the daughter of Malissio and Cecilia Rameriz, was born September 23, 1934, in Curtis, Oklahoma. She grew up in Woodward, OK, where she attended elementary and high school, graduating from Woodward High School in 1952.


She was married to Gerald Ferguson on September 4, 1952, in Clovis, New Mexico, making their first home in Freedom, Oklahoma. The couple lived in various locations in Oklahoma before returning to Burbank in 1972. They moved to Fairfax in 2000.


In earlier years Margie worked as a secretary for her brother-in-law ad sister-in-law in their cement company business. She was a bus driver for the Burbank School for several years. She also had worked as a field clerk for Standard Industries at the Burbank and Washunga Bay Rock Quarries. Margie retired in 1988. She volunteered for the Osage Nation Head Start for many years where she was known as Granny Marge to everyone. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and attending events of her grandchildren.


She is survived by her husband, Gerald, of the home, her seven children, 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren with twin great-granddaughters on the way.


Margie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Buddy Rameriz.
