Ebenezer E. Barry, for several years a resident of Sycamore and a pioneer farmer east of this city for many years, died at the Barry residence, 958 Highland avenue, Elgin, at about 3 o'clock on Monday morning of this week at the advanced age of 91 years.
He was born in Brookfield, N.Y., in 1820. There he grew to manhood and there he was married to Miss Matilda M. Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Barry removed to Illinois in 1848, settling in Kane county east of Sycamore.
Mr. Barry is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Adelaide M. Ballard of Chico., Cal., Mrs. D. F. DeEtte A. Fellowa of Elgin; Mrs. Margaret Ballard of Odebolt, Iowa, Mrs. Asema Oakley of Alhambra, Cal., and two sons, Charles S. of Burlington and Alonzo of Elgin.
