Randy Clark
1948 - 2015
Randy Clark, age 66, of Dillons Fork Road, Fieldale, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Henry County on August 24, 1948 to the late Henry and Geneva Hall Clark. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Clark.
Randy was loved and respected by all who came in contact with him. He was a member of Stanleytown United Methodist Church where he had been a member of the Trustees, Finance Committee and an usher and he was one of the leaders of the annual Brunswick stew preparation for the church fall festival. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a beekeeper. He loved drag car racing and Nascar Racing and was an antique car enthusiast. Randy was also a member of the Rangely Ruritan club and the Southeast Piedmont Beekeeper Assoc. He had worked as a plant supervisor for 26 years with Martinsville Concrete Products before retiring. He was a Fieldale-Collinsville High School graduate class of 1966 and he had served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cindy Parlier Clark of the home, his son and daughter in law, Eric and Rebecca Clark of Jacksonville, FL, his granddaughter, Amelia Thornton of Jacksonville, FL, his brother, Jerry Clark of Martinsville and a sister, Julie Poteat of Blue Ridge, VA.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Stanleytown United Methodist Church with Pastor David Westmoreland officiating the service. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service and at other times at the home.
The family wants to give a special thanks to the Mountain Valley Hospice and the Ravanel Oncology Center staffs for all the kindness they showed Randy.
