Randy Kevin Nicholson, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday April 30, 2015.

Kevin, lovingly known as "Bear" to friends and family was a lifelong resident of
Hiawassee. He worked as a carpenter from a young age. Aside from spending time
with family and friends he loved to be fishing or in the woods in search of the
perfect buck. He enjoyed gardening and had a special love for his dogs. He was
a member of Lower Hightower Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joan and Erwin Davenport; maternal
grandmother, Lougene Garrett; brother and sister in law, Ken and Samara
Nicholson; nephew, Patton Nicholson; step nieces, Carly Coffey and Caitlin
Sheffield; step daughters, Jamie and Brittany Ledford and numerous aunts, uncles
and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father M. L. Nicholson.

Funeral services were held Saturday May 2 at 2 pm at Banister Funeral Home
Chapel with Reverend George Fortner and Reverend Kenneth Nicholson officiating.
Music was by Ryan Wilson. Pallbearers were Chuck Galloway, Brett Long, Keith
McKinney, Wayne Nelson, Duran Turner, and Dwayne Wood. Interment followed in
Enotah Cemetery with Raburne Wilson officiating.
