Son of Warren S. and Grace Harvey Beebe.

Beebe was a graduate of Cassadaga High School and Jamestown Business College. He started his 45 year year banking careet in November 1914 when he joined the staff of National Chautauqua County Bank of Jamestown. After obtaining the position of cashier there he assumed the position of cashier in Lakeshore National Bank of Dunkirk in 1934.

He later became vice president and director of the bank and in 1947 was elected president of the bank. He served in that capacity for 10 years until its merger with the Chautauqua Nation Bank of Jamestown, Beebe retired from the bank presidency in 1959 but remained chairman of the advisory board.

During WWI he served with the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Cassadaga Community Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Methodist Church of Jamestown where he had been a member of the board of trustees. Mr. Beebe was a former member of Dunkirk Methodist Church where he served as treasurer. He had been the treasurer of the Dunkirk branch of the American Red Cross, was a member of the American Institute of Banking and was a charter member and past commander of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280. He was a former member of Cassadaga Cemetery Association.

Surviving are his second wife the former Mary Crane, whom he married in 1960; a daughter Shirley Beebe Terwilliger of Binghamton; two granddaughters, Susan Church of Austin, Texas and Joanne Karst of Cuba, New York and a grandson, Gordon H. Terwilliger of North Palm Beach Florida; and two great-grandchildren,

He was preceded in death by his first wife the former Hazel Ames in 1959.
