Joshua (Josh) Michael Sherman, age 18 of Mount Holly, NC was called home to Heaven May 2, 2015.

Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Saturday, May 9th at Shady Brook Baptist Church, Reverend John Thomas officiating. Visitation will be from 6-9PM Friday evening at the Church. Interment will be in Forest Lawn West Cemetery.

Joshua was born in Mecklenburg County February 2, 1997. He was a member of Shady Brook Baptist Church, was involved in the Youth Group, made Mission trips to Haiti, worked with the Audio Visual Team, was a student at East Gaston High School and member of the Marine Corp Junior ROTC. Josh was an employee of Chick-fil-A at Callabridge Commons in Charlotte.

He is survived by his parents, Doctor George E. Sherman and Tracy Taylor Sherman of Mt. Holly, NC, brothers, Caleb Sherman and Micah Sherman of the home, grandparents, George Sherman, Sr., of Stanley, NC, Dennis Taylor and Carol Taylor of Mt. Holly, NC, and great grandmother, Ruby Stevens of Morristown, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lyda Sherman and aunt, Dana Sherman.
