She was born on November 20, 1930 to John and Nolie (Hayes) Simpson in Clarke County, MS.
Lessie is survived by her husband, Willard Collins; son, Phillip Collins; daughter, Susan Denise Holifield; 3 grandchildren, Olivia Claire Collins, Ansleigh Brooke Holifield, and McKenley Grace Holifield.
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Don May; parents, John Wesley and Nolie Olivia Simpson; sister, Lonnie Lofton and brother, Hal Simpson.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015, 10:00 am at the Stonewall Cemetery with Rev. Nick Ulmer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Gene Simpson, Jerry Don Simpson, Terry Wayne Simpson, Dale Collins, Danny Joe Collins, and Mack Martin.
