Funeral service for Mrs. Jane Hawkins, 95, of Kellyton, will be Friday, May 8, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Rev. Joe Mallory and Rev. Mike Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Greenview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Radney Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hawkins passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on February 27, 1920 in Clanton, Alabama to Thomas Herbert Neighbors and Nell Moon Neighbors. She was a member of Kellyton First United Methodist Church. She loved to sew and travel. Reading was a favorite past time, and she enjoyed working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Hemphill (George), of Louisville, KY, Dona Dark Patterson (Doug), of Jackson's Gap, and Kay Nail of Sylacauga; daughter-in-law, Gail Hawkins of Selma; grandchildren, Veronica Lovvorn, Beverly Tudor, Brenda McClure, Jennifer Smith, Lisa Losole, David Dark, Derek Dark, Laura Mims, Cindy Royster, Will Hawkins, Marilyn Watson, and Matthew Hawkins; twenty three great grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Frankie Neighbors, Elizabeth Hawkins and Gemma Hawkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Theo Hawkins; parents; sons, Willie T. Hawkins, Jr, Cleve Hawkins; sister, Nell Branson; and brothers, Thomas Herbert Neighbors, Jr, Jacob Allen Neighbors, Charles Frances Neighbors and Richard Neighbors.
