Final rites for Mrs. Stella M. Shoudel, 68, wife of William F. Shoudel of 519 1/2 East Seventh street, Auburn, were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Dilgard & Cline funeral home in Auburn.
Mrs. Shoudel died at 10:15 a. m. Sunday in her home. Her death was attributed to diabetes following an illness extending over the past 14 months.
The Rev. Allen K. Trout, pastor of the St. Mark's Lutheran church in Auburn, officiated at Tuesday's services. Burial was in Woodlawn cemetery. A native of Defiance, 0., Mrs. Shoudel was born Dec. 22, 1881, the daughter of they late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kraft. She was married In 1902 at Grand Rapids, Mich., to Mr. Shoudel. The couple lived in Auburn for a few years after their marriage and then moved to Grand Rapids. Over 20 years ago, they returned to that city.
Surviving, besides the husband, are three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Cope of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Ralph Hickman of East Garrett and Mrs. Harriet Woodcock of Sacramento, Cal.; two sons, Charles F. Shoudel of Rt. 3. Auburn, and John W. Shoudel of Rt. 4, Auburn; four grandchildren and one brother, Charles F. Kraft of Grand Rapids. A brother, the late Orval Kraft of Auburn, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Shoudel was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran church.
