Homecoming Celebration" for Yvonne Faith Foster, 77, of Continental Divide, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Thoreau, New Mexico. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park. Pastor Adrian Gonzales will officiate.
Yvonne was born on October 8, 1937 in Newkirk, Oklahoma and she went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2015 in Continental Divide, New Mexico.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Thoreau. She enjoyed being involved with the church services and fellowship with her church family. If you knew Yvonne you would know that her merry heart was full of laughter. Her life's work was focused on Proverbs 17:22 " A Merry Heart doeth good like a medicine." We miss you dear mother and we are shouting hallelujah as we rejoice with you in heaven.
She is survived by her Husband: Jack Foster of Continental Divide, New Mexico; Her three children: Wynema Gonzales of Cortez, Colorado, Jackie Sandoval of Kirtland, New Mexico and Neal Foster of Tucson, Arizona; six surviving siblings: donna Ritchey of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Harvey Mefford of Arkansas City, Kansas, Dale Mefford of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Gail Gammil of Canton, Ohio, Mary Lou Deans of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Cheryl Ghram of Arkansas City, Kansas; 10 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her Parents: Frank Mefford and Christine Leonard Mefford.
Pallbearers will be: Daniel Gonzales, Nathan Foster, James Gonzales, Lisa Burkhard, Jennifer Romero and Jeannine Rubalcaba.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Sarah Overton, Erin Morales, Andrea Sandoval and Jacob Sandoval.
