Frances E. Lozier Meszaros, Cathedral Drive, Farrell, passed away unexpectedly at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday (1-31-12) in Cleveland Clinic. She was 74.

Frances was born July 8, 1937 in Ivydale, W.Va., the daughter of Asbury and Callie Belle May Starcher.

She attended school in Harrisville.

She was a homemaker and also worked for more than 20 years as a barmaid at several establishments in the Shenango Valley.

She was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 55 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5286, both Farrell.

She enjoyed playing bingo and gambling. She liked cooking and volunteered her talents at the Prince of Peace, the Croatian Club and the Moose Lodge, all Farrell. Her husband, Allen Livingston Lozier, whom she married April 28, 1973, passed away on May 27, 1974.cq She is survived by her second husband, James C. Meszaros, whom she married May 17, 2011.

Also surviving are four daughters, Gloria "Sissy" Hendrix and her husband Tony, Lancaster, Ky., Benalee Welsh, West Virginia, Sherry Moran, Ocala, Fla., and Michelle McGee and her husband Michael, West Middlesex; four sons, Dale Kinney, Lantana, Fla., Charles Kinney, Butler., Michael Shank, Sharon, and David Paddgett, North Carolina; one sister, Marie Grahm and her husband Garnett, Lake Placid, Fla.; two brothers, Ray Starcher and his wife Shirley, Butler, Pa., and Franklin Starcher, Slippery Rock; two step children; Cheryl Sailar and her husband Bill, Pulaski, and James "Sonny" Meszaros, Jr. and his wife Diane, Sharon; 23 grandchildren – among them Cara, Jena, Briana and Allena LaCamera and Jared Wroblewski; 22 great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her first husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Clement and Hester Reed; four brothers, Buddy, Wilbur, Ernest and Lewis Starcher, and one stepgreat-grandson, Shawn Sailar.

Donations to Hospice Care in the name of Alice Starcher would be greatly appreciated.

A viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Waybright-Parsons Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Emma Chapel, with Pastor Carol Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Emma Chapel Cemetery. Waybright Funeral Home will be serving the family.
