KINGSPORT — Charlsie Mae Price Johnson, age 67, Kingsport, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center from complications following emergency
surgery.

She was born in Eidson and had resided in Kingsport for trffe last 50 years. She worked at North Electric for 10 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star 198 and was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where she was in the Pastor's Sunday School class and was a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. J. Kyle and Callie Price; stepmother, Mollie Price; and a brother, B.H. Price.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Franklin H. Johnson, a daughter and son-in-law, Charlene Johnson Shelton and Alvin H. Shelfon; a son and daughter-in-law, Darren Johnson Sr. and Susan Guy Johnson, all of Kingsport; two sisters, Evalena Rogers, Surgoinsviile and Deloris Collins, Kingsport; a half-sister, Ursula Johnson, Church Hill; a brother, Odell Price, Rogersville; six grandchildren, Chad Shelton, Toby Shelton, Callie Shelton, Darrell Johnson Jr., April Davis and Aaron Johnson; two greatgrandchildren, Chance Christian Davis, Kingsport, and Hope Elizabeth Johnson, Sumpter, SC.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 23,1998, at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Revs. Wayne Baker and Lester "Bud" Lawson officiating.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, Eastman Road, Kingsport, TN.

Arrangements were under direction of East Lawn Funeral Home, Kingsport.
