Chad A. Carter, 26, passed away at home on June 13, 2006.
He was born on May 6, 1980 to Brenda Vickery Toole and the late Willis James Carter. He was a 2000 graduate from Oconee County High School. He was a man who served and loved God. Chad had a kind sweet nature and generous spirit. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and grandson. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Jerry E. Toole of Bogart; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Greg Cox of Winterville; brother, Tim Carter of Flowery Branch; nephews (Chadís Babies) Justin, Tyler and Brandon Cox of Winterville and niece, Brittany Cox of Winterville. He was a loving grandson to Sara Vickery Bruce of Canon and the late W.C. Vickery, loving step grandfather, Herman Bruce of Canon, grandmother, Estelle Carter of Braselton and the late James Carter; special cousin, April Shubert of Watkinsville and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Chris Shubert, Daniel Nixon, Jimmy King, Greg King, Tim King and Paul Carlile.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Carlile, Richard Carter and James Hewell.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2:00 PM, June 15, 2006 at Lord and Stephens Chapel, WEST, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road with Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, 3655 Atlanta Highway.
Flowers will be accepted.
Lord and Stephens, WEST is in charge of arrangements.
