Donald J. Driscoll, age 88, of Osman, died Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.

Donald James was born August 14, 1926 in Osman, son of the late James and Priscilla (O'Neil) Driscoll.

He went to grade school at St. Isidore Catholic School in Osman and attended Valders High School. On September 11, 1948, Donald was united in marriage to Marie Brost at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in School Hill. Donald farmed his entire life, taking over the farm from his father and grandfather. The farm is still in the family with son, Rick and his wife Jeanne Driscoll, and granddaughter, Abby Driscoll. Donald also worked at Brost Food Market doing butchering for many years. He also was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Newton.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Marie; their children: Thomas (Karen) Driscoll, Valders, Sandra (Matthew) Wusterbarth, Kiel, Richard (Jeanne) Driscoll, rural Manitowoc, Mary Jo (William) Schmidt, rural Manitowoc, and Daniel (Kim) Driscoll, Kiel; fifteen grandchildren: Eric (Heidi) Welch, Tera (Kevin) Gillis, Nicholas (Amy) Wusterbarth, Kishon (Nathan) Whittier, Leah (Scott) Warren, Tessa (Andrew) Abrahamson, Joel Driscoll and his special friend Jess, Jeremy Driscoll, Abby Driscoll, Amber (James) Mann, Jerad (Melissa) Grupe, Caitlyn (Matthew Laabs) Grupe, Derrick Driscoll, DJ Driscoll and his special friend Megan, and Terren Driscoll; twenty great-grandchildren: Andrew, Josiah, Samuel, Matthew, Hannah, Levi, Joshua, and Gabriel Welch, Jack and Anna Gillis, Elizabeth, Patrick, Catherine, and Frank Wusterbarth, Meara, Reese, and Van Whittier, Zuzu and Poppy Warren, Ella Laabs, and two more on the way; and one sister: Dorothy Mullins. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was further preceded in death by two grandsons: Jimmy and David Driscoll; a sister and two brothers-in-law: Catherine and George Bonk and Paul Mullins; one nephew: Michael Mullins; sister-in-law: Mabel (Ed) Miller; brothers-in-law: Norman (Marian and Rita) Brost and Joe (Jane) Brost; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: John and Otillia (Fessler) Brost.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton, Wisconsin. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Beaudry with burial at St. Isidore Catholic Cemetery, Osman, on Thursday. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:15 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Donald's name for St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Newton, Wisconsin.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family would like to thank the first responders and Bill and Shirley Fessler for their kindness and support.
