Don B. Ferguson passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013. He was born to the late Iva and Clifford Ferguson on July 23, 1924 in Tennessee.
Don served in the United States Navy during World War II. He drove landing crafts in the Pacific.
He married the late Virginia “Ginny” Ferguson (Bright) in October 1945.
Don retired from Bendix in 1985, where he worked for 35 years. He was passionate about making a difference in the lives of those that had retired from Bendix and served as the President of UAW Local 947. Don was also passionate about genealogy and his heritage and followed his lineage back to the 1700′s.
Don was an active member of Faith Baptist Temple in North Ridgeville. He loved his family, church, adventure, and computers.
Don is survived by two children, Linda Morales and Tim Ferguson (Kris); as well as four grandchildren, Jennifer Morales, Joe Morales, Steve Ferguson and Lauren Ferguson; and one great grandchild, Mariah Morales.
A cemetery service will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11 A.M. am at the Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
Local funeral arrangements were handled by Busch Funeral and Crematory Services, Elyria.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Faith Baptist Temple, 34361 Lorain Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039.
