He is survived by his wife, Evion G. Garner of the home; two sons, Harold E. Garner, Jr. of Durham and Wayne E. Garner of Greenville, NC; one daughter, Patricia Y. Garner of New Bern; one brother, Wayne E. Garner of St. Louis, MO; four sisters, Joyce G. Knox, Brenda G. Fonville, Linda G. Johnson, Wilma G. Stroud all of St. Louis, MO;
