OBITUARIES:
OLD RESIDENT OF CO. IS DEAD AT TWO CREEKS
William Retzlaff, pioneer and one of the oldest residents of Manitowoc county, died at the home of his son, the old homestead that has been owned by the family since the '50's, on Tuesday. Mr. Retzlaff has passed his ninetieth birthday and death was due to infirmities incident to old age.
Besides the son William with whom he made his home deceased is survived by anothr(sic) son Frank who owns a niboring(sic) farm and three daughters, Mrs. August Lehrman of Edgar, Mrs. William Engeland, Two Creeks and Mrs. J. Walters, Two Rivers. The funeral will be held tomorrow and burial will be at Mack's cemetery in the town of Mishicot.

Death summoned Wm. Retzlaff, aged 71, of the Town of Two Creeks on Tuesday,
August 16th after a long illness. Deceased was born in Germany and has been a
resident of the Town of Two Creeks since 1882 when he emigrated to America. All
these years he followed the occupation of farmer, his life being one of industry
and sobriety. He leaves a widow and five children who are William and Frank of
the Town of Two Creeks, Mrs. Wm. Engeland of the Town of Two Rivers, Mrs. August
Lehrman of Edgar, Wis., and Mrs. Helen Walters of Two Rivers. The funeral was
held Tuesday from Two Creeks Lutheran Church, Rev. Kirchner officiating. Burial
was in Mack's cemetery, Mishicot.

We desire to give expression to our thanks and appreciation to our friends and
neighbors for the kindness and sympathy shown us in our bereavement due to the
illness and death of our beloved husband and father. We are grateful for the use
of automobiles and for the beautiful floral tributes.
