Joyce E. Barrand age 80 passed away peacefully Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Ft. Wayne.

She was born January 19, 1935 in Payne to the late David W. and Bertha M. (Miller) Harshman. On October 20, 1959 she married Richard “Dick” Barrand, who preceded her in death on October 8, 1997. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Payne, and was employed by Dallas Lamb Foundation until 1978. She was a member of the Red Hats of Payne. She loved to sew, craft, paint, woodwork, bake specialty cakes and valued all time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children: Lois (Allen) Beamer of Paulding, Richard “Bud” Barrand, Lisa (Tim) Dunlap and Lana (Roger) Stuart all of Payne; sister-in-laws, Anna Harshman, Phyllis Barrand, and Marjorie Haneline; 5 grandchildren: Lexie Beamer of Toledo, Nathanial McClain, Nickolas McClain, Landin Stuart all of Payne, and Lauren Barrand of Antwerp; great grandson, Breece Beamer of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Paul and Ernie Harshman, and sister, Katheryn Bruns.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 AM Thursday, May 7 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Payne. Burial will follow in Lehman Cemetery, Payne.

Visitation will be 2:30 – 8PM Wednesday, May 6 at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. There will also be visitation from 10 AM until time of services on Thursday at the church.
