Opal (Harmer) Winn, 93, Plattsburg, Mo., died Monday, May 17, 1999 at a health-care center in Plattsburg.

Mrs. Winn had taught in the Smithville (Mo.) School District and North Kansas City, Mo., schools until retiring in 1970.

Born in Edgerton, Mo., on Nov. 13, 1905, she lived in Smithville and Plattsburg, Mo., most of her life.

She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University at Maryville, Mo. Mrs. Winn was a member of the First Christian Church and Chapter DF of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, both of Plattsburg.

On May 22, 1929, she married Perry R. Winn Sr. He is deceased.

Mrs. Winn also was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Jessie Harmer; a brother, Matthew Harmer; and two grandchildren.

Surviving: a son, Perry Jr., Plattsburg; two daughters, Mary Jo Bartlett, Santa Ana, Calif., and Louise Stalder, Plattsburg; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, May 19, 1999, at First Christian Church, Plattsburg, Mo.
