Paul was born February 26, 1945 in Holmes Mill KY, to the late Acie and Ella Boggs Royce. He was a retired coal miner having worked for US Steele, Arch of KY, and Lone Mountain. Other than his parents he is preceded in death by several brothers and one sister
Paul is survived by his wife of fifty years, Esther Dudash Royce, of Cumberland. His two children, Paul Royce of Lexington, KY; and Tammy Shamblin and husband Rob of Athens, TN; his grandchildren Paul Zackary Royce, Morgan, Jacob, and Elizabeth Schamblin. Two brothers, Don and James Royce, and two sisters, Madge Sexton, and Barbara Schaef. And a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the Cumberland Missionary Baptist Church from 6-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the church with Rev. Dennis Williams officiating. Following the funeral service burial will be in the Monte Vista Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
