JANICE E. ELLIOTT, age 68, of Marion, passed away at her home on Saturday evening, May 2, 2015.
Janice was born in Marion on November 10, 1946, the daughter of Gerald and Virginia (Phelps) Davidson. She graduated from Harding High School. Janice was married to Gary Lee Elliott on October 31, 1964 in Marion. Together they lovingly raised their 4 children. She was a devoted homemaker and later worked at Kings, Farm & Fleet and Fuzzy’s Flower and Gifts.
Janice adored her family. Her favorite times were when the family took camping trips, fishing at the lake and telling stories. She was a woman of tremendous wisdom that touched the lives of so many. She also enjoyed every type of craft and yard sale and collecting knick-knacks.
She is survived by her beloved children: Troy (Bernie) Elliott, Ryan (Rhonda) Elliott, Jason (Jenny) Elliott and Kara (Mike) Price; 41 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters: Sharon Wilson and Shirley (Bob) Knickle.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents and her devoted husband Gary Lee Elliott.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Victory Center Church of God, 1190 East Fairground Street, Marion from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.; funeral services will be held Saturday at the church at 10 a.m. with Pastor Don Howell officiating; Entombment will be in the Marion Cemetery.
