Widow of John Dee Mangum.
Gertha Adams Mangum, 102, passed away Thursday at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Dorsey and Nicey Ivey Adams. Gertha was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt who has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a member of Angier Baptist Church for 84 years and a founding member of the Golden Gems.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 3:00 pm at Angier Baptist Church, Angier. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier.
In addition to her parents, Gertha is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Dee Mangum; daughter, Sharion Dugger; brothers, Halford, Roy, Rosvil and Cadwell Adams.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
