Robert Coffin, 74, Crawfordsville, died Thursday in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Coffin was employed 25 years at R.R. Donnelley. His memberships included New Creation Ministries, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rodeo Cowboys Association and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He served in the Navy 1947-49, then again during the Korean conflict. He attended Pinnell (Boone County), and Jamestown, Linden, Ladoga and Crawfordsville schools and was a 1987 graduate of RHEMA Bible Training Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He was born April 12, 1929, at Jamestown, to Ardra and Maggie Haffner Coffin. He married Nellie McVay on Aug. 16, 1998, at Crawfordsville. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, John, Crawfordsville; a daughter, Michelle Zachary, Crawfordsville; two brothers, Emory Auman, Noblesville, and Ross Auman, Greenwood; six sisters, Anabelle Jones, Linden, Jean Edwards, Sebring, Fla., Shirley Paxton and Darlene Steele, both of Ladoga, Virginia Scott, Frankfort, and Bernice Gentry, Indianapolis; and four grandchildren. Two brothers, Marion and Donald Auman, are deceased.

Funeral services are scheduled 2 p.m. Monday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Revs. Duane Bryant and Marion Bothof officiating. Burial will be in Lizton Knights of Pythias Cemetery with special graveside rites by the V.F.W. and American Legion. Friends may call 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
