Prelude and postlude music was played by Sara White, of the Tabiona ward. Opening prayer, was by J. Garlick; song, "I Need Thee Every Hour," by a mixed quartet from the Duchesne ward, consisting of Porter L. Merrell, Mrs. Al White, Mrs. Phillip Moon and Winston White, accompanied by Barbara Cowan. The first speaker was Bishop Niles Haslem, of Vernal, an old friend of the family and who knew Mrs. Pace as a young girl. Bernal Turnbow, of the Tabiona ward was the second speaker; Mrs. Dorothy Moon of the Hanna ward, sang "In the Garden," accompanied by Rella LeFevre of the Tabiona ward. Bishop Joe Olpin, of Heber City, then spoke, followed by superintendent of schools, Rowan C. Stutz and Bishop Willis Moon, of the Hanna Ward. Grant Peel, of Altamont, sang, "Going Home," accompanied by Rella LeFevre. Closing prayer was offered by Parley Reid of the Hanna ward.
Burial was in the Tabiona Cemetery, under the direction of Olpin Mortuary of Heber City, with Pres. A. Hale Holgate dedicating the grave. Pall bearers were Lorin Allred, Ray Pace, Keith Aplanalp, Bobby Pace, Al Roberts and Dale Allred.
Mr. Pace is survived by his mother, Mrs. Nellie Davis of Pleasant Grove; his wife and four sons and daughters, Bonnie Rae, Gary Curtis, Diane and Blaine E., all of Hanna; two brothers and a sister, Lloyd Pace of Hanna, Glenn Davis and Ruby Davis of Pleasant Grove.
Mr. Pace was an active member of the LDS church, being a member of the High Priests' quorum and was first counselor in the Hanna ward bishopric and teacher in the Sunday School. At the time of his death, he was driver for the local school bus, which position he has held for several years. He worked at the school lunch in Tabiona, was janitor for the local ward house, and has held many other responsible positions in his church and community. He was a friend to all who knew him, responsible and efficient in all that he did.
