Orville F. Green, age 77, of Helena died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at St. Peter's Hospital of natural causes. He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Fosston Minn., to Melvin and Angeline Green. He was raised on a farm in rural Minnesota.

On June 23, 1951, he married Flora J. Fairbanks. The family lived in Minnesota until they moved to Montana in 1960. He worked at Associated Foods for 25 years, where he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed visiting and fishing in Minnesota.

A beloved and dear one, he took great and caring pleasure in his family and friends. He loved the mountains and rivers of Montana and the lakes of Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his oldest son, James (Jim) Green.

Survivors include his wife, Flora Green, Helena; two sons, Harold Green (Twyla), Helena and Wade Green, Helena; two daughters, Cheryl Green, Helena, and Tammy Maynard (John), Helena; four brothers, Donald Green (Faye), Helena, Gerald Green (Willow), Helena, Harold Green (Irene), Minnesota and Merle Green (Nancy), Anaconda; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Rosary will be recited at Hagler Anderson Mortuary at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13. A memorial Mass will be held at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, 120 W. Riggs in East Helena on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 11 a.m., followed by a luncheon at Sts. Cyril and Methodius. Following the luncheon, interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery on North Montana Avenue at

2 p.m.

The family suggests memorials to the Dialysis Unit at St. Peter's Hospital of Helena, 2475 Broadway, Helena, MT 59601.
