Mar 10, 1925 ~ May 1, 2015 passed away quietly in his sleep on May 1,2015 at the age of 90. Mr. Ceravolo was born on March 10, 1925. Most of his life was spent in Wylam, along with his brothers and sisters: Sam,Jake,Joe,Sarah,Rosie,Lena,Frances and Mary. For 35 years, Mr. Ceravolo worked at U.S. Steel, He became a deacon at the Wylam Baptist Church. Later he moved and became a deacon at Central Park Baptist Church. A faithful church goer, his life revolved around God,family and country. Born into a large,fun loving Italian family, Mr. Ceravolo was known for his sense of humor and sharp intellect. His friends knew him as a family man. There was nothing more that he enjoyed than family reunions and visits with family and friends. He always greeted everyone with a smile and a twinkle in his eyes. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to him and a source of constant joy. In his later years, Mr. Ceravolo lived in Maylene,Alabama with his son and daughter-in law. Survivors include son J.C. (Becky) Ceravolo; grandson Justin Charles (Miranda) Ceravolo; grandaughter Kristin (Joseph) Schifanella and great grandchildren: Jackson and Savannah Ceravolo, Cindi Cissell (Becky's sister) dedicated/ loving caregiver and family member. Viewing will be at Elmwood Chapel, Tuesday May 5th from 5:00 till 7:00 pm.The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 6th at 2:00pm,at Elmwood Chapel, John's Ridout directing. Mr. Ceravolo will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Always smiling, he would say: "All is well with my soul".
