Bobby especially touched the lives of many people in a positive way – through his music, his humor and his personality. The fact that almost two years later we come together to honor this remarkable man is a testament to the impact he had on our lives. He is to be remembered by those who knew him as an honorable and decent man who befriended and helped many in our own journeys through this life. It is therefore befitting that we come to his last resting place to again remember the man who we called friend. His warm smile and his cheerful laugh can still be felt when we gather and remember him. His service to our hereditary societies lives on through photos and memories.

Bobby joined the S.A.R. in 2002 through Thomas Ayres. He also joined the War of 1812 Society in 2009 through the service of his ancestor David Flowers who was a Soldier in Capt. John Smithson's Comp, of 42nd Regt MD Militia in 1814. In both groups he became active in the Color Guard as the drummer and with Dave Embrey made the Fife and Drummer of our groups that were always a hit at various events.

Bobby often enjoyed the events from the background and not in the forefront. He accepted the role of President of the Aquilla Hall Chapter and an officer on various boards when approached. It was his shy quietness that made him well liked by so many. His love of music followed him everywhere and he enjoyed this more than notoriety. We will miss our friend and the sound of his music.

His longtime girlfriend Ginger Apyar was by his side through his fight with cancer. He said she was the best thing that ever happened to him.

He is missed by all who knew him.
