Mildred Peterson, 95, a lifelong resident of Wallace, died Aug. 19, 2010, in Green Bay.

Mildred Sylvia Christina Peterson was born March 18, 1915, in Carney, to the late Gust and Blanda (Gustafson) Peterson.

Millie worked in her father's grocery store for many years and later for Emerson Electric for 30 years retiring in 1985. She enjoyed playing board games and traveling. She loved her family and time spent with her great-grandchildren was very special.


She is survived by a granddaughter, Christy (Frank) Mathews, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul (Joyce) Peterson; three sisters, Gloria (Norman) Newlin, Evelyn (Gordon) Newlin, and Aileen Kusch.

She was preceded in death by a son, Keith; brother, Stanley; four sisters, Eleanore Anderson, Amy Johnson, Thelma Wall and Verna Newlin.


Funeral service was Aug. 24 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home, Stephenson. Reverend David Buckly officiated.

Burial was in Mellen Township Cemetery.
