WADSWORTH -- Dorothy L. Police, 85, of Wadsworth, died Tuesday, January 15, 2008.

Born June 7, 1922 in Crockett Mills, Tenn., to the late Herbert and Agnes Cleek, Mrs. Police was a member of Wadsworth United Methodist Church and was a former dietary manager at several area nursing homes. She was the 1999 Hospice of Wadsworth-Rittman volunteer of the year, was also a volunteer at Wadsworth Rittman Hospital, a member of Christian Singles, The Lively Seniors and was an avid collector of Elvis Presley memorabilia.

Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard Police and one stepdaughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Tony Wright, Mrs. Police was the loving mother of Richard Jr. and Pat Police of Tucson, Ariz., Darlene and Pat Berry and Dawn and Roy Wolf, all of Wadsworth; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grand-children; and her brother, Dorris Crossnoe of Tennessee.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wadsworth Rittman, 2525 Back Orville Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
