Glen was born in Connellsville, PA to Carl and Lucy Brooks. He is preceded in death by his first wife Lillian Humbert Brooks.
He is survived by wife Catherine Brooks of Port Royal. Brother Eugene Brooks and sister Loraine Brooks both of Connellsville, PA. His sons Asher (Sue) Brooks of Beaufort and Steve (Nancy) Brooks of Athens, GA. Step daughter Kathy (Dan) Knisley of Port Royal. Grandchildren; Bryan (Teri) Brooks of Beaufort, Lyndsay (Stephen) Chandler of Middleburg, FL, Adam (Rachael) Brown of Athens, GA, Jennifer(John) Bolinger of Athens, Ga, Dylan Knisley of Columbus, OH, Katie Knisley of Port Royal, Rosie Knisley of Port Royal, Taylor Mascaro, Merynn Mascaro, and Kelsey Mascaro. He also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Glen served in the Navy during WWII. He was stationed at Parris Island MCRD. He was an auto mechanic in Beaufort until he retired in 2000. He was an active member of Port Royal Methodist Church. He was also an avid hunter.

Services will be held graveside on Monday April 6, 2015 at the Sacred Ground Cemetery at 11 am.
