She died in October 17, 1941

Mrs. Amanda Carpenter, 87, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Friday night at 6:55 o'clock at
her home on R.R. No. 1, Monroeville, where she had lived 51 years. She was a member of
the Methodist church at Monroeville and the Women's society of the church. The husband
John, died about nine years ago.

Surviving are three sons, Warren H. and Jerry S. Gunder, both of Fort Wayne, and Glenn M.
Carpenter of Gillespie, O.; two daughters, Mrs. Ella Schneider of Olivet, Mich., and Miss
Mary E. Carpenter at home; and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Bagnell of Kansas City, Mo., and
Mrs. Susie McEntire of Monroeville. The body was removed to the Van Buskirk Funeral Home
at Monroeville and will be returned to the residence this evening. Funeral arrangements
announced later.
