He was the retired manager of the Lexington Clover Creamery Company, a member and former deacon of the Lexington Presbyterian Church, a member of the Little Joe Hunt Club, past president and charter member of the Lexington Lions Club, and a past president of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce.
Surviving are his wife, Allene Hotinger Cummings; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty Grace and O.M. McCrowell Jr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Ernest O. (Red) and Ann T. Cummings, all of Lexington; two grandchildren, Tracy Ann McCormick, Lexington; Gary H. Cummings, Richmond; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 1992, at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Dr. L. Randolph Harrison and the Rev. A. Lee Zehmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Collierstown Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington
