Alexander Mitchell Barron Sr., 85, of 73 Sundant St, Greenwood, died yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Carr, 2 David St, Greenville.
He was the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth E. (Kronberg) Barron.
He was born in Glascow, Scotland, March 26, 1871, the son of Alexander and Jean (Schier) Barron and came to this country in 1888.
He was a retired weaver and loom fixer, having been employed by the American Woolen Company. Before moving to Greenwood, he had lived in this city for about 65 years.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, six sons, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
